  1. Project by MVRDV. Not least because this is much more impressive up close, they have a comprehensive project worth looking at. The things about perfecting and testing the process of glass construction are particularly fascinating.

  2. I used to live nearby next to Vondelpark and on my way to work I would cycle through here every day. Not only in photos, but even in person, it is very well-executed and spectacularly gorgeous.

However, the rest of the lane, which is also full of luxury boutiques, can be very tacky.

  3. Oh, I love this project and the way the glass brick was bonded – with UV iirc. However, Worth notes that the whole building was torn down and later restored. I say, given the comprehensive facade care, that is probably obvious to everyone!

  4. That’s so cool—much more fascinating than the straight, unintegrated glass facade they might have made.

It reminds me that occasionally I have to go back to Amsterdam. I love this place.
