  1. Here’s a stair detailer. I’ve worked on a few jobs that required me to work from sketches like this while renovating existing buildings from the 1930s. If people are interested, I could put up a few sheets.

  2. It’s a great piece of engineering art with a lot of talent. But wait until you have to make a single adjustment and then edit the whole collection of drawings to represent it.
    Revit now does it with a single click.

    Architecture, on the other hand, has lost the ornamental features that make buildings look like works of art. It’s now too generic and lacking in actual info…

  3. In 1998, I did my first internship, and the office was a combination of CAD and drafting. I continued to draw with mylar and ink and run bluelines. I also created a website for the company, which they didn’t have at the time.
