  1. My freshman year studio professor threatened to personally track down and kill everyone who dared to create work in Minecraft. To this day, I’m terrified.

  2. It’s fun to come across structures in the wild that could easily be reproduced in Minecraft using simple blocks, almost as if they modeled it in the game, said it looks fine, and proceeded with the full design.

Step 2: Calculate your budget and square footage.

Step 3: Get ideas for each room’s measurements.

Step 4: Make a rough sketch of some simple floor plan concepts.

Step 5: Start designing in Revit.

    Step 8: Start Minecraft.

  7. It’s the reason I became interested in architecture in the first place. One day, I was looking at all of the houses I’d built and thought to myself, “Whoa… this might be my career.”

  8. I used the source engine for many projects while earning my architecture degree. The geometry is quick and simple to set up, and there are a plethora of surface materials to choose from as well as a large library of props to fill the room. Dr. Breen also appeared in a few scenes.
